SSD or HDD
Hi
Are you in the market fro a new storage device.
If so which way to go?
SSD: -
Small nifty device intended to replace your aging bulky lumbering HDD.
Pros:
Performance.
Having no moving parts.
Access is almost instant.
Easy transition.
Retail packages often come with all the necessary software.
Innovative:
SSD's certainly appear to be the future (for now).
Cons:
Basically price.
They are as expensive as they are small.
Storage
With more & more user's storing media on their PC's.
Storage is small compared to HDD's.
Compatability
While improving all the time.
Your set up may severely limit any performance gains.
Failure
Failure is almost instant & complete.
Whereas the "old" HDD usually gives a warning that there may be trouble ahead.
Conclusion:
IMHO use SSD for boot drive (making sure to have mirror image on HDD for backup).
Continue to use HDD for storage.

Re: SSD or HDD
I may add a 256MB SSD shortly for a boost. Impressed with the Seagate hybrid Momentus XT drive I added to my MacBook so I need my windows rig to perform now!
