I Got it Back !
It took a our trip into the The Dandenongs to do it but ... Wow!
Maybe a few weeks ago it might've been better... but who cares ! Last week and Mandy insisted I take my camera.. because I wasn't going to.
I'll post a few...
It happened when we first drove down the driveway to the cabin... we saw these beautiful mushrooms under a row of tall trees. ones with red tops with white speckles. I spent almost an hour taking close-ups. Took some more when we drove up to Mount Dandenong. Was a bit hazy..... only so-so photos..
The best happened on the Friday (we left Sat morning)...
Went for a long walk only grabbed the 18-55 zoom ....damn!!... some parrots... and a Kookaburra (kingfisher).... couldn't get close enough.
Walked down a hill ... found Jack Nicholas Memorial Gardens... One of the tracks pointed to 'The Lake'... it was like 'so what'.... It was steep down hill tracks so Mandy decided to go back into town to the Cabin and come back with the car.
I thought meh' why not. .... Oh man.... I spent ages around the small man made lake. Not sunny thank goodness .
Ferns.... Natives... Yellow... Red leaves... the combinations...
Would've loved the 35mm prime... but did what I could.... there was even a couple of water features.... And do you think I could remember how to changes the settings ??? Bugger !!!!
It could have been so much better had I played with it more but I was rapt with what I took.
It's got me going. I'll play with it more often now.
Sorry for rambling guys.

Get back on the horse, Al. Been getting side gigs with the camera for a number of years now and it is a pretty regular thing. Lots of money invested into it. After a couple of years putting off surgery on the elbow (torn tendons), I was able to use the beast (gripped Canon 5D Mark III) again with success.

Finally had a nice summer day with the windows open. Took this photo from my office through the screen window.
