Forum Domain + Ads

Some of you (maybe all) could have received an email, stating the following.

Admin  modified the address of the forum www.friendsofudvdr.com The forum is now available on this address : friendsofudvdr.forumotion.com

What does this mean.
For now absolutely nothing.
Why?
The reason for this is an increase in costs for the domain name & ad free features experienced by all members.
Last year this cost a total of 2,600 credits.
Currently to do this now is 4,430 for "Advanced Packed".
This allows Ad free for members, but only the availability to change (or in our case retain) Domain name.
Additional cost of this feature - a further 1,200 credits.
Total therefore of 5,630.
As I've paid this, you do not have to do anything.
This will remain so until 1st of May 2019.
At this point unless further "packages" purchased, the forum will revert to free.
If this does happen ads will appear for all.
Domain name would be friendsofudvdr.forumotion.com
This already exists.
If you start using this now, it will be redirected to friendsofudvdr.com (Until 1st May 2019 when friendsofudvdr.forumotion.com will become default. )
Feel to express your thoughts on this.

N.B. This is not an appeal for you to buy credits.
As by next year the cost will have no doubt risen.
+ You may have found alternative outlets for your online experiences.

Regardless you can feel safe that the forum will continue indefinitely in one form or other.

I can say straight up that i have no issues with donation  a 'few' $$$ etc to keep this place free from ads so...........

Currently you have to buy a package.

You can see from this the forum would be ad free for members.
To keep domain name costs more.
I originally assumed as this feature was ticked, it was included.
However it only allows this feature to be purchased as an extra.
If you look at the above pic.
You'll sees what you get for free.
What we now have is the "Advanced Package"
The "Premium" simply adds more options, but most still incur additional cost to apply.

I had a look over @ Forumations forum and there is 'some' that ain't happy with these changes and the costs of them. It's fully understandable........ they increased the costs the of the 'extras' a LOT.

It all comes down to what these needed credits cost to buy.
